The Azerbaijan state oil and gas company (SOCAR) intends to nearly double its deliveries of gas to Russia this year compared to 2010, to 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas, ABC.az reports, citing SOCAR Vice-President Khoshbakht Yusifzade.

In 2010, SOCAR delivered 799.751 million civic meters of gas to Russia.

Yusifsadze said that the increase in supplies which began in 2010 was tied to completing construction on the Siyazanskoye compressor station and other repairs and reconstruction work.
